For Individuals Not Yet on CPAP
If you've been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) but have not initiated CPAP, you may avoid therapy dependency by prioritizing non-device measures first. Begin with head-of-bed elevation using Airbry Pro®, alongside weight management, positional (side-sleep) training, and alcohol/sedative reduction at night. Because your breathing has not adapted to assisted airflow, transitioning to an elevated, airway-friendly position is typically simpler.
For Short-Term CPAP Users (< 6 Months)
Physiologic dependency is usually limited at this stage. Introduce Airbry Pro® during daytime naps for 3–5 days, then alternate nights for 2–3 weeks while monitoring symptoms (snoring, witnessed apneas, unrefreshing sleep). If sleep quality remains stable or improves, you may expand pillow-only nights under your clinician's guidance.
For Long-Term CPAP Users (≥ 6 Months)
Do not discontinue CPAP abruptly. Start with Airbry Pro® during naps to retrain posture and promote airway patency. After ~2 weeks, trial one pillow-only night per week. If tolerated, increase to 2–3 pillow-only nights per week over 4–6 weeks, tracking symptoms and, where available, home metrics (snoring apps, oximetry, wearable sleep indices). Revert to CPAP immediately if symptoms recur.
What Actually Triggers Sleep Apnea at Night?
It’s usually not age or weight — it’s neck position. Studies show that 86% of sleep apnea cases are position-dependent. When your head tilts forward, the airway narrows and collapses, jolting you (and your partner) awake.
Introducing the Airbry Pro® Neck-Elevation
Unlike flat pillows that tilt your head forward and pinch the airway, Airbry Pro® keeps your neck aligned so your airway stays open naturally—for quieter nights and clearer mornings.
💡 Studies show that 86% of sleep-apnea cases are position-dependent; Airbry Pro® corrects exactly that root cause.
